Most vests at this price are either too thin to do anything or so puffy you look inflated. This one is quilted for real warmth but cut long and close enough to layer under a coat. Wear it over a sweater on the school run, under a parka when it drops below freezing, and zipped up with the hood on when the wind won't quit.
